A New Age of Fitness & Nutrition!

From the time fitness was first invented, the population of those who worked out was dominant in males. Much of them were weightlifting athletes and/or other sport athletes. Then over time it transitioned into serving visual validations influenced by bodybuilding, fitness gyms grew into settings people can workout and socialize, and the female population grew in fitness through this process.

After that, dieting grew large and brought much more information on obesity with benefits from nutrition on adults and children. Also, it seems that until now is when we see fitness and nutrition come together as almost one. Where now, it's clear you cannot keep all your junk foods and still be truly healthy if you exercise. What we put into our bodies actually matter.

Today, we are entering a new age of fitness and nutrition where the purpose has added other components. Those components are chronic illness prevention, stress and anxiety reduction!

Where research shows correlations between genetic chain and chronic diseases, studies of ways to prevent the continuation of "the cycle" improved; Everyone wants to prevent diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, cancer, and we can go on.

We all know someone in our family with chronic illness that gets passed down the "family tree". What was found was that fitness, as well as nutrition, doesn't only help prevent chronic illnesses, but also reduces the severity if not eliminates the disease entirely! That's right, its possible to get off those medication pills and relieve pain!

As for stress and anxiety...today we're getting more aware of our mental health. We notice that stress and anxiety runs far and is much more common in people than we probably thought.

All of us experience stress due to life in general whether at work, school, or home. And at some points in our lives, in my opinion, a good amount of us has experienced a state of depression. No matter how sever. We've even seen professional athletes come public about their battles with stress and anxiety on a daily basis in serious form. The fact is...this is serious and should not be taken lightly.

Exercise and nutrition together or separate does help reduce levels of anxiety and stress from those diagnosed with forms of depression to those withundiagneosed forms caused by outside sources. Both exercise and nutrition increases levels of focus, memory, and overall mental productivity as well.

One study showed that depression is a significant cause and consequence of disability among older individuals, and like disability, depressive symptoms are associated with the presence of one or more chronic diseases.

Guess what else? Even with the development of "new and effective" medications for depression, as much as 30 to 35 percent of patients do not respond to treatment. The medications may also induce unwanted side effects that can definitely impair quality of everyday life and reduce compliance.

We have the natural cures and we just should look up information on Alfredo Darrington Bowman, better known as Dr. Sebi who is known for his incredible work on curing chronic disease through natural remedies! Dr. Sebi is known to cure patients with AIDS, Cancer Diabetes, Epilepsy, and a lot more! His healing was based on a diet he made which is now called the "alkaline diet" and herbal therapy. Very much his work was questioned in court by the Supreme Court and was found "not guilty" as he represented himself, with providing evidence of 77 in person witnesses and their health records under treatment.

I mention this to raise more awareness and focus on the power of nutrition and exercise beyond what mainstream media gives us. We know fitness helps us look good and preform great, good nutrition keeps us energized and balanced, but they both can be used as cures for diseases, relieve pain, keep us stress and anxiety free, as well as be a preventative tool for many to break that family cycle.
